- Karizma CE001 auction begins
- Only 100 such bikes will ever be made
- Auction will take place on the official website
Hero MotoCorp has commenced bookings for the most exclusive Karizma it has ever made. This motorcycle is called the CE001 and has been designed to pay tribute to the company’s founder, Dr Brijmohan Lal Munjal.
According to a social media post, this collector’s edition model, limited to only 100 units, will be auctioned on its official website. However, when writing this article, the website didn’t have any link to register for this auction.
The CE001 is based on the Karizma XMR but gets a host of expensive components and cycle parts. The most important aspect of this bike is the semi-fairing, which has been inspired by the original Karizma. A lot of the bike is made out of carbon fibre and also equipped with an Akrapovic exhaust. As of now, there aren’t any details on the engine of the bike. However, this 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine is likely to churn out the same 25bhp and 20Nm of performance as the standard Karizma XMR. That said, the limited edition could perform better due to the weight savings from the use of carbon fibre.
In terms of pricing, we have no idea how this model will be pegged. But it is expected to have a base price and then depending on how the auction goes, the final prices will be decided. Interestingly, almost all these bikes are likely to carry a different final price.
Update: Hero MotoCorp clarified that even though it is based on the Karizma platform, it won't carry the Karizma branding. It will have a new name and the auction will be limited to very few people.
