The bookings for the most awaited scooter of 2016 – the Aprilia SR150 has begun. A couple of dealers in Mumbai and Pune have started taking bookings for this Italian scooter for Rs 2000.
The Aprilia SR150 will be sold through all Vespa showrooms across the country. However, Piaggio plans to have a separate themed showroom space for this scooter to differentiate it from the Vespa line of scooters. While the Aprilia SR150 will be launched by mid-August, the dealers are already quoting a waiting period of 30 days.
These dealers are quite excited about this scooter as there have been a lot of enquiries. With an introductory price tag of Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom), the Aprilia SR150 competes with the Honda Activa 125 and the new Suzuki Access 125 which are priced slightly lower. However, the Italian maker feels that there are a lot of buyers who are ready to extend their budget by a bit and opt for the SR150 as it’s an aspirational product.
We’re quite excited to ride the Aprilia SR150. We’ll get you the first ride review of this scooter whenever we get to spend time with it. Meanwhile, you can read a couple of stories on the Aprilia SR150 below.
