Indian Motorcycles dealership across the country has started accepting bookings for the Bobber. The booking amount for this cruiser stands at Rs 50,000.
The company will officially launch the Bobber either towards the end of September or early October. The company will also reveal its price at that time. The rival to Triumph Bonneville Bobber and Motoguzzi V9 Bobber is expected to have a pricing very close to the Scout.
The Bobber is built on the same platform as the Scout. In fact, it is powered by the same 1130cc V-Twin engine as the Scout. The overall styling of the Bobber resembles the standard cruiser model but has been dipped in black paint to get the mean look out of it. The major mechanical change done on this bike is shorter travel on the rear suspension. This has been done by using shorter springs. While this change does enhances the overall style, it does lose on some ground clearance and ride quality.
Just like the rest of the Indian bikes, the Scout Bobber will also be sold as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit. So expect the quality to be superior.
