- To go on sale on February 10
- Gets a matte black with gold paint scheme
Royal Enfield has announced a limited-edition Classic 500 called the Tribute Black Limited Edition to mark the end of its 500cc era.
The registrations for the motorcycle have commenced on Royal Enfield’s website and will go on sale on February 10 from 2pm-5pm. The Classic 500 Tribute Black gets a special matte black and gloss black paint with gold highlights. Furthermore, it also sports a ‘End of Build’ number unique to each motorcycle.
Apart from this, the limited-edition Classic 500 is exactly the same as the standard variant. It comes powered by a 499cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 27.2bhp and 41.3Nm. The motorcycle rides on telescopic forks up front and dual-shocks at the rear and uses disc brakes at both ends along with dual-channel ABS for braking.
Along with the Classic 500, Royal Enfield will also pull the plug on the Thunderbird 500 and Bullet 500 models on 31 March, 2020 in India. However, the manufacturer will continue to offer spare parts and service for the 500cc models.
