Suzuki Motorcycle India has started taking bookings for their new scooter, the Let's. The scooter can be booked with an amount of Rs 1,000 at all the Suzuki dealerships. The Let’s is expected to reach the showrooms by the first week of May, however, the pricing is still not known.
The Suzuki Let’s was unveiled along with the Gixxer just before the 2014 Auto Expo. During the unveil, the company didn’t utter a word on the official launch but there gave been rumours about a possible launch at the beginning of 2014-2015 financial year.
The Let’s is powered by a 110cc mill that churns out 8.7bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.0Nm at 5,500rpm. It gets Suzuki’s new Suzuki Engine Performance (SEP) technology which the company claims provides top-class fuel efficiency of 63kmpl without compromising on power. This mill is mated to a CVT automatic transmission similar to its competitor. The 90/100-10 section tubeless tyres are fitted at both the front and the rear, while the stopping power is provided through 120mm drum brakes. The scooter is light with a kerb weight of 98kg and also has a decent ground clearance at 160mm.
The Suzuki Let's is available in five cheerful colours - Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Mirage White, Glass Sparkle Black & Metallic Sonic Silver. The scooter is positioned as a scooter for the urban crowd. It is expected to be priced little lower than the Honda Activa and close to the Activa i.
