- Completed test rides in seven cities recently
- Pre-bookings have begun and delivery will start from May, 2022
Bounce Infinity has announced that it will commence the test rides of its electric scooter, the E1, in over 100 cities in a couple of weeks. The first few cities where the test rides will begin are Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Palghar, Nashik, Calcutta, Lucknow, Mysore and Hubli. Notably, the company has recently completed rides in seven other cities.
The Bangalore-based EV maker launched the E1 electric scooter on 2 December, 2022. It’s available only in Bangalore as of now with a unique ‘battery as a service’ feature in which you can buy the vehicle without a battery and use the company’s battery swapping docks for running the scooter. This brings down the cost of the E1 to Rs 36,099 from Rs 59,999 which is its price with the battery. In the latter scenario, the battery is removable and can be charged by the user at their home.
The Bounce Infinity E1 is powered by a 1.87kWh lithium-ion battery pack that’s claimed to deliver a range of 85km. The 94kg scooter is propelled by a 1.5kW BLDC (brushless DC) motor that can run it to a maximum speed of 65kmph. Some of the most noteworthy features in the E1 include a reverse mode, cruise control, and drag mode.
The Infinity E1 is available in five colour options including Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Desat Silver and Comet Grey. It’s already available for pre-bookings and the deliveries will commence from May 2022.
