- New variant is called E1X
- Will get a 2.09kWh battery pack
- To be launched soon in India
Bengaluru-based EV maker Bounce Electric will soon launch a new variant of its Infinity E1 electric scooter. According to the transport department's type-approval document, the new variant will be called Infinity E1X.
The Bounce Infinity E1X is likely to be a higher-spec model and could be positioned above the limited edition variant. According to the type approval certificate, the Infinity E1X will be powered by a 1.67kw BLDC motor, which is slightly higher than the other variants.
The Bounce Infinity E1X will also use a bigger 2.09kWh battery pack, as against the current model's 1.9kWh unit. However, the riding range is unknown. The document suggests that the E1X will have an unladen top speed of 46.3kmph, which comes as a surprise as the other variants offer a top speed of up to 65kmph.
Meanwhile, the dimensions of the E1X are similar to the other variants. Although there is no word on the launch timeline of the new Infinity E1X variant, Bounce Electric should launch the scooter a couple of months from now. The scooter could receive a marginal price hike owing to its larger battery pack and more powerful motor. The introduction of the Bounce Infinity E1X should help the company position it against the lower variants of the Ola S1 range.
