-390 Adventure X gets an 825mm seat
-19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels
-Non-adjustable suspension has 200mm travel
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is on the horizon and shortly before the launch, we’ve got access to the specifications and features of one of the variants. The KTM 390 Adventure X is likely to be the more accessible variant in the portfolio. And that’s not just in terms of pricing.
As per the leaked specifications and features list, the KTM 390 Adventure will have the same frame and bodywork as the other 390 ADV variants. However, it will have equipment that will allow KTM to price it competitively. For example, it has an LCD display and not the TFT display from the higher-spec 390 Adventure R. It also doesn’t get cornering ABS, making do with a standard ABS system.
As mentioned, the steel trellis frame is the same as the 390 Adventure R, however, the 390 Adventure X has a non-adjustable USD with 200mm travel. While, at the rear, there is a monoshock that should be preload adjustable. The bike rides on a set of 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, shod with tubeless tyres.
Another important point to note is that the new KTM 390 Adventure has an accessible, 825mm seat height. This should allow short riders to feel comfortable with riding this ADV.
As for the design, it is purposeful with the rally-bike style front fairing, the long beak and the relatively sleek rear. The 390 Adventure X also gets a bright, orange colour that contrasts nicely with the blacked out fuel tank and alloy wheels.
While details of the engine specifications are yet to be revealed, we expect it to get the same 398.63cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that powers the KTM 390 Duke. It makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm in the naked bike. These figures should be roughly the same in the new KTM 390 Adventure as well.
The bike is likely to be launched soon and the 390 Adventure X might be the most affordable variant in the lineup.
