Aprilia India has updated its portfolio with the launch of premium motorcycles. The company has announced the launch of the new RSV4, Tuono V4, RS 660, and the Tuono 660. The all-new Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 have been launched at Rs 13,39,000 and Rs 13,09,000, respectively (both ex-showroom, India).
The RS 660 and the Tuono 660 use a 659cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The motor is tuned to produce 98.6bhp of power at 10,500rpm and 67Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm on the RS 660. The same engine makes 93.6bhp at 10,500rpm and 67Nm at 8,500rpm on the Tuono 660.
Apart from the power output figures, the two motorcycles are distinguished through their respective styling. The new RS 660 packs a sportier persona through the use of clip-on style handlebar while the Tuono 660 gets upright ergonomics making it more versatile than its sibling. Both motorcycles are available in three colour choices. The RS 660 is available in Apex Black, Lava Red, and Acid Gold. The Tuono 660, on the other hand, has been listed in Concept Black, Iridium Grey, and Acidic Gold paint options.
The hardware on both motorcycles include Kayaba 41mm upside-down front forks, an asymmetrically-mounted rear mono-shock, 320mm dual discs at the front, and a 220mm rotor at the back. The RS 660 and the Tuono 660 come with a 15-litre fuel tank and tip the weighing scale at 183kg.
All products would be available through the Motoplex outlets across the country.
