- The official launch got slightly delayed
- It might look similar to the Pulsar NS200
- Price expected to be close to Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom)
Bajaj Auto has confirmed that the official launch of the all-new Pulsar NS400 is scheduled to take place on 3 May. The motorcycle was supposed to debut this month but it got delayed for some internal reasons.
The NS moniker suggests that the motorcycle will bear a visual resemblance with the existing Pulsar NS series. Hence, we expect it to boast a muscular bodywork with sharp and angular design lines. However, Bajaj might bestow it with some unique elements to make it look bigger than its existing siblings and bestow it with a distinctive persona. Moreover, it might get more features as well. Considering the new Pulsar N250 gets a Bluetooth-enabled digital screen, traction control, and ABS modes, the biggest Pulsar will certainly get these bits. Bajaj might surprise us with more rider aids like a quick shifter!
As of now, the technical specifications of the Pulsar NS400 aren’t known. We believe it will be powered by KTM’s new 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that does duty on the new 390 Duke. However, the tuning should be different and the Pulsar might not be as powerful as its Austrian cousin. The hardware package might also be more premium than the Pulsar NS200 but not as high-spec as the KTM 390 Duke which gets things like adjustable suspension.
We expect the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 to be priced around the Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
