- DucatiMonster BS6 to be launched in India soon
- Euro5-model makes 111bhp and 93Nm
- Likely to arrive in Rs 11-12 lakh price range
Ducati India will soon update its portfolio with the launch of the 2021 Monster BS6. The company has confirmed the update via its social media handles, although it has remained tight-lipped about the launch date.
The 2021 model, which is already available in several international markets, gets an all-new styling. The new motocycle is leaner than its predecessor, the Monster 821. The new model features an oval-shaped headlight, a sharp design for the fuel tank, rear panels, and the upswept exhaust with a slash-cut design. The colour choices for the international model include Ducati Red, Dark Stealth, and Aviator Grey with GP Red wheels. Standard features comprise full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-ready 4.3-inch TFT display. The Bluetooth module is available as an optional accessory.
The Euro5-compliant 2021 Ducati Monster uses a 937cc, Testastretta L-twin engine that makes 111bhp of power at 9,250rpm and 93Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Expect the India-spec model to make similar numbers. The electronic rider aids include three riding modes (Sport, Urban, and Touring), wheelie control, traction control, ABS, cornering ABS, launch control, and a quickshifter.
The new model should carry a price premium over its predecessor and we expect it to arrive in the Rs 11-12 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
