-Based on Hero’s stunt concept shown at EICMA last year
-Naked version of the recently leaked Karizma XMR 250
-To be powered by Hero’s new 250cc, liquid-cooled engine
Hero MotoCorp might have a few interesting two-wheelers at this year’s EICMA show in Milan. After we leaked the patent image of the Karizma XMR 250 a couple of weeks back, we have now got our hands on the image of what looks like the production version of the 2.5R Xtunt concept that was showcased at the EICMA last year.
It is clearly decipherable from the patent image that this will be the naked version of the Karizma XMR 250. It is stripped of the fairing for the engine and radiator to be clearly visible. The radiator is flanked by angular cowls. The low-slung headlamp, meanwhile, looks similar to the Xtunt concept but with a less dramatic appearance. Moreover, the clip-on handlebar has made way for a single-piece, tubular unit. We expect everything else to be the same as the Karizma 250 XMR.
Powering this motorcycle will be a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-engine engine power and torque output numbers of which aren’t known yet. They will certainly be higher than the existing Karizma XMR’s 25.15bhp and 20.4Nm output. The 17-inch alloy wheels, upside-down forks, and tubular chassis seem to be borrowed from the Karizma 250 in an unchanged form.
Following its expected global unveil at the EICMA 2024, the official India launch of the 2.5R Xtunt-based production bike should take place in the first half of 2025.
