- Hero Xpulse 421 design sketches revealed
- Gets 421cc single-cylinder engine
- India debut in 2026
Two days ago, we got you exclusive information revealing that the Hero Xpulse 421 concept will be unveiled at EICMA 2024. And expectedly so, the wraps have been taken off this much-awaited bike in concept form at the world's largest motorcycle show.
From the pictures, it is clear that the Xpulse 421 is built around a brand-new trellis frame and also features a new design language. Hero MotoCorp hasn’t taken any styling cues from the recently unveiled Xpulse 210. The bike looks quite tall, has a lean body structure and has been developed using a lot of inputs from its Dakar riders.
From the front, the Xpulse 421 looks quite handsome, but these are design sketches. So the production-ready bike could look a bit different. From the side, there is a bit of Ducati Multistrada inspiration and that is a good thing because this Italian motorcycle is known for its overall styling. There’s also a large windscreen present along with the handguards. A large TFT screen was also spotted in one of the sketches which makes us believe that this motorcycle will be feature loaded.
The Xpulse 421 will be powered by a new 421cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that could churn out power between 40 and 45bhp. The torque is likely to be around 45Nm. This motor will be mated to a six-speed gearbox, and slip and assist clutch will also be included.
Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch the production version of the Xpulse 421 in the next 18 months. Once launched, it will go against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure R and also an upcoming adventure bike from TVS.
