- New Dukes to be unveiled today - KTM releases teaser on Instagram - India launch very soon
KTM has dropped a big bomb on its social media channels. The company will launch the next-generation 125 Duke, 250 Duke and 390 Duke today.
The new Dukes were expected to be launched in India next year, but it looks like the brand wants to end 2023 on a great note. These new Dukes will be made by Bajaj in India and exported worldwide. But India will be the first country to get these bikes, and this is expected sometime next month.
The spy shots show that the new Dukes will get revised styling, and the overall design language has just got sharper from the front. The side and the rear are unlikely to get any significant updates.
The 2024 KTM 390 Duke will likely offer segment-leading features like IMU-based lean-sensitive cornering ABS, a traction control system, and riding modes. This is besides the existing set of features available on the current model. The new 390 Duke is also expected to get adjustable suspension at both ends.
The new-gen KTM 390 Duke will likely draw power from a new 399cc, liquid-cooled engine, which is expected to offer more power and torque than the current version’s 43bhp and 37Nm. The engine will be married to a six-speed gearbox.
We expect a price increase for the new Dukes, which will make it quite expensive. But this brand has always been about excellent performance and features, and there’s a set of buyers ready to pay good money to acquire these aspects of motorcycling.
