- Will be a Bobber-style motorcycle
- To be powered by the 349cc J-platform engine
- Indian launch details unavailable yet
Royal Enfield is working on a wide range of products that would be based on the company’s existing and upcoming platforms. Among the list is a new, Bobber-style product which will be underpinned by the company’s J-platform. The finer details about this motorcycle are not available yet. However, it will be based on the Classic 350 and it should carry similar styling philosophy as the Royal Enfield's highest-selling motorcycle.
The silhouette of the motorcycle shows a round headlight with a beak-style element on top. It also shows a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, a rider-only seat, an ape-hanger handlebar, a rear-fender-mounted taillight, and wire-spoke wheels. The hardware, too, should remain similar to the Classic 350 and this new model could use telescopic front forks and twin rear springs to handle the suspension duties. Then, the braking hardware may have two options. The base model may only get a drum setup at the rear while the premium variants may benefit from discs on both wheels.
The mechanical specifications are likely to retain the 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, this motor is tuned to deliver 20bhp and 27Nm on the Classic 350. We expect the output figures to remain similar for this upcoming Bobber-style product.
The details about the Indian launch of this motorcycle are not available yet. This Yezdi Bobber rival, however, should arrive after the launch of the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
