The photographs of the new Yamaha YZF-R15 have been leaked ahead of its India launch, giving a detailed look at the motorcycle and its features. The new YZF-R15 will be available in two variants - standard and M.
The latest iteration of the YZF-R15 will pack a revised design that will comprise an updated front fascia. The new model will also benefit from new features such as a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, although the connectivity feature will be available on the premium variant of the range. The updated model will also get a bi-functional LED headlight at the front. The motorcycle will also benefit from a traction control system as standard while a quickshifter will be available as an optional extra.
The details about the mechanical specifications are still not available, although leaked homologation documents have confirmed the same 155cc engine for the updated model. The new version of the motorcycle, however, produces lesser power than the V3.0. As per the leaked data, the newYZF-R15 makes 18.1bhp as against 18.3bhp on the outgoing model.
The company will announce all the details and the prices for the motorcycle at the official launch that is scheduled to take start at 11 AM on 21 September, 2021.
