- First-ever electric Royal Enfield teased
- Global unveil on 4 November
- Likely to carry Classic tag
Royal Enfield is finally entering the world of electric motorcycles. It will unveil its first-ever electric motorcycle on 4 November – a day before the 2024 EICMA show begins.
BikeWale was the first publication to bring you the exclusive production-ready picture of the Classic Electric a few months ago. It looks like the company has finally decided to use the EICMA show as a platform to showcase its green technologies.
The patent picture revealed that this Royal Enfield will also have modern retro styling with some inspiration from the Classic range. This bike will be seen with girder forks – which makes us believe that it could be a concept model. The tail section – especially the mudguard, seat and indicators - has Classic inspiration.
In terms of performance, it is clear that there’s a large battery pack placed between the chassis, which also has an interesting design. The swingarm looks like it is made out of aluminium and has a traditional design. As of now, there are no details on the electric motor, but expect it to be a bit powerful. The power is transferred to the rear wheel via a belt drive.
As of now, there aren’t many details about this motorcycle, but BikeWale will bring you the most exhaustive coverage of this electric Classic on 4 November from Italy.
