- Hero Xpulse 200 new version spied
- To get a four-valve head for better performance
- New colour options will be on offer too
Hero MotoCorp is preparing to launch a new version of the Xpulse 200 in India. The motorcycle was recently spotted testing in the country revealing that a couple of interesting updates are a part of the new package.
The most interesting element will be the inclusion of a four-valve head, instead of the existing two-valve head. This was revealed by the ‘4-valve’ sticker on the fuel tank. The inclusion of additional valves will bring along a bump in its power output. At present, the Xpulse 200 produces 17.8bhp of power and 16.45Nm of peak torque. The aforementioned alteration might increase its top-end performance, making it a better highway touring machine.
The spy shots also reveal that Hero will introduce new colour options for the Xpulse 200. The spotted test mule incorporated black and blue body panels, a colour scheme that’s not available in the existing iteration of the bike.
The rest of the aspects will most likely remain unchanged. The Xpulse 200 rides on a 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination that is suspended by long-travel suspension at both ends. Braking is handled by a single disc at the front and rear with single-channel ABS. It also gets LED lighting with a Bluetooth enabled LCD console.
The Hero Xpulse 200 is currently priced at Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom) and the aforementioned updates might result in a price hike of around Rs 5,000-8.000.
