- BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 pricing revealed
- Gets Rs 1,750 more expensive over BS4 model
- Price has been hiked thrice since the launch of its updated model in March 2019
Bajaj is all set to launch the BS6 version of its flagship offering, the Dominar 400, soon in India. Now, courtesy of our dealer sources, we already know that the motorcycle will be priced at Rs 1,91,751 (ex-showroom, Pune). Owing to the fact that it was BS6-ready with a fuel-injected powerplant, it has received a minimal price hike of Rs 1,750, which is due to minor tweaks such as integration of a larger catalytic converter.
The Dominar 400 had received its first major update in March 2019 when it had witnessed a price hike of Rs 10,795 over the previous model. This was followed by two more major price hikes of Rs 6,000 and Rs 10,000 in July and September 2019, respectively.
Since Bajaj had given a plethora of updates to the Dominar 400 last year, it is expected to remain unchanged during the BS6 transition, apart from tweaks on the engine. It is powered by a 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor which produces 39.4bhp at 8650rpm and 35Nm at 7500rpm. Even after the BS6-bound changes, these numbers are likely to remain unchanged. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch.
Bajaj retails the Dominar 400 in two colour options including green and black. The motorcycle has long been expected to get a red paint scheme which is available in a few international markets and we hope it arrives in India with the BS6 update.
