- BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has started to arrive at dealerships
- BS6 model is Rs 10,675 more expensive than BS4 version
- The latest model will retain the styling and features of the old version
The BS6 compliant motorcycles from Bajaj Auto have started to arrive at the dealerships, although the company is yet to announce their prices. While we await an official announcement, dealer sources have revealed that the Pulsar NS200 will get a price increase of Rs 10,675 with this BS6 transition. Post the upgrade, the Pulsar NS200, which was available at Rs 1,13,331 in BS4 guise, will be sold at Rs 1,24,006.
The BS6 upgrade will bring new hardware to the engine that will include a new catalytic convertor, fuel injection system and an O2 sensor. The BS4 Pulsar NS200, unlike the international-spec model, used a carburettor system. The power and torque output numbers are likely to change during the BS6 transition. The old (BS4) motorcycle, for reference, was tuned to draw 23.2 bhp at 9,500rpm and 18.3 Nm at 8,000rpm.
Styling and hardware specifications will be carried forward from the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, the BS6 motorcycle will continue to use halogen headlight, LED taillight, semi-digital instrument cluster, clip-on style handlebar, split-seats conventional telescopic front forks, preload adjustable mono-shock and disc brakes on both wheels.
The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has started to arrive at the dealerships, and we should hear a launch announcement from the two-wheeler brand very soon. The BS6 Pulsar NS200 will compete against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, which retails at Rs 1,25,000.
