Hero MotoCorp recently updated its product portfolio with the launch of the BS6 Glamour. The BS6 Hero Glamour is available in two variants – Rs 68,900 (self-drum alloy) and Rs 72,400 (self-disc alloy) – both ex-showroom Delhi. In this post, we list the top four highlights of the BS6 Hero Glamour.
Styling Upgrades
The BS6 Hero Glamour retains the silhouette of the old (BS4) motorcycle, although it features a few visual tweaks to distinguish it from its predecessor. The pilot lamps, for example, get a smoked finish on the BS6 motorcycle. The side and the rear panels, too, get a styling revision. The colour palette has also received an upgrade and the BS6 Hero Glamour is available in four colours - Radiant Red, Techno Blue, Tornado Grey and Sports Red.
Updated Instrument Cluster
The instrument cluster continues to use a semi-digital layout, although the BS6 model receives a real-time fuel economy indicator.
Engine
The Hero Glamour was already available with a fuel injection system in its BS4 form. The BS6 motorcycle gets additional hardware such as a newer catalytic convertor and an O2 sensor. The updated motor makes 10.73bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm at 6,000rpm as against BS4 bike’s 11.5bhp at 7,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. The BS6 Glamour gets a five-speed gearbox as against four-speed transmission on the BS4 motorcycle. The bike also gets Hero’s revolutionary i3S (idle start-stop system) and Auto Sail Technology.
New hardware
The latest iteration of the Glamour comes with an all-new rigid diamond frame. The suspension setup gets longer travel (+14 per cent at the front and +10 per cent at the rear). The ground clearance, too, is 30 per cent higher than the BS4 motorcycle.
