Suzuki Motorcycle India announced the prices of the BS6 Burgman Street 125. The updated iteration of the 125cc scooter, which is available at Rs 77,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), is Rs 7,000 more expensive than the BS4 version. In this article, we bring top four highlights of the BS6 Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
Styling
The BS6 Suzuki Burgman Street 125 carries forward the styling and features of the old (BS4) scooter. Thus, the latest iteration of the scooter continues to use an apron-mounted LED headlight, tinted visor, digital instrument cluster and muscular styling.
Colours
Suzuki has expanded the colour palette for the Burgman Street 125 with the addition of the Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red paint. Other options include Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray, Pearl Mirage White and Metallic Matte Black No. 2. The Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler brand displayed the MotoGP livery for the Burgman Street 125 at the Auto Expo 2020 to evaluate the customer response, although that particular version is yet to be launched.
Fuel Injected Engine
While the styling cues are identical to the BS4 scooter, the engine specifications have received a major overhaul, and the BS6 Burgman Street 125 comes equipped with a fuel injection system. The BS6 compliant engine on the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 produces 8.7bhp and 10Nm. Despite the BS6 compliance, the power output is identical to the BS4 model while the torque has witnessed a marginal drop of 0.2Nm.
Integrated Engine start and Kill switch
The new Integrated Engine start and kill switch with Suzuki Easy Start System is a new addition to the Burgman Street 125, and it aims to enhance the convenience factor of the scooter.
Suzuki Motorcycle India has confirmed that the BS6 Burgman Street 125 has started to arrive at the dealerships and the retail sales of the 125 cc scooter have commenced.
