Yamaha Motor India has listed the BS6 FZ 25 and FZS 25 on its website along with the optional accessories that the company will offer for the motorcycles. The Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has also confirmed on its website that the BS6 FZ 25 and FZS 25 will be launched post the lockdown period, which is currently scheduled to end on 3 May 2020. The unofficial bookings for the motorcycles had begun in March 2020.

The quarter-litre motorcycle from Yamaha will be sold in two options – FZ 25 and FZS 25. The two variants will be distinguished by the colour options. The FZ 25 will be sold in two colours – Metallic Black and Racing Blue. The colour palette on the FZS 25 will comprise of three options – Patina Green, White-Vermillion and Dark Matte Blue. The Patina Green and Dark Matte Blue paint options will come with gold-coloured wheels. Moreover, the FZS 25 will pack additional accessories such as a tall visor and knuckle guards as standard.
All other specifications will be similar on both variants. The BS6-compliant FZ 25 series will use a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that will deliver 20.5bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The engine will be linked to a five-speed gearbox.
