- It’s called the B65 Scrambler
- Unveiled at Birmingham Motorcycle Live show
- It could be launched in India next year
BSA has unveiled the scrambler version of the Goldstar 650 at the Birmingham Motorcycle Live show. It is called the B65 Scrambler and is likely to come to the Indian shores next year.
This is more than just a cosmetically different version of the Goldstar. It gets a smaller headlamp with a grille along with a high-set front fender. The handlebar looks like a wider unit with a brace and incorporates bar-end mirrors. The side panels have a plate with a number, similar to the Royal Enfield Bear 650. The tail section is also shorter and accommodates a flat seat with a ribbed pattern. As for the colours, BSA unveiled the bike in two shades including white and yellow/grey.
There are changes to the hardware as well. Unlike the 18-17-inch combination on the Goldstar, the B65 Scrambler is equipped with a 19-17-inch spoke wheel combination that is shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Even the seat height is 40mm taller than the Goldstar at 820mm. The engine, meanwhile, is likely to be the same 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 45.6bhp and 55Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The company might change the gearing to suit the B65’s purpose.
Classic Legends might launch the BSA B65 Scrambler in India sometime next year. It will be priced considerably higher than the Goldstar 650 and will compete against the Royal Enfield Bear 650.
