Classic Legends recently brought the iconic BSA brand to India and launched the Goldstar 650 under that banner. We recently spent a couple of days with the Goldstar and our elaborate take on the bike is already up in our review section. That said, here’s a round-up of the key highlights of the Goldstar along with its pictures.
Just like every other aspect, the design of the BSA is quintessentially retro. It follows a round design theme all across along with spoke wheels, a flat seat, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank.
It’s quite simple on the feature front and just gets the basic elements like an analogue instrument cluster, a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, USB Type-C and Type-A charging ports, and a 12-volt socket.
Powering the motorcycle is a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that has been sourced from an Austrian brand, Rotax. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
This unit produces 45.6bhp and 55Nm of peak torque. As compared to the Interceptor 650, it makes slightly less power but marginally higher torque.
Underpinned by a tubular double downtube chassis, the Goldstar rides on an 18-17-inch spoke wheel combination with telescopic forks and dual springs. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers.
The prices of the BSA Goldstar start from Rs. 3 lakh and go up to Rs. 3.35 lakh, ex-showroom, depending on the colour option.
