Buddh International Circuit layout to be changed for WSBK

Buddh International Circuit layout will be changed for the World Superbike championship (WSBK). FIM has asked BIC authorities to make changes to the track to accommodate the WSBK race in India. One of the major changes to the track is the elimination of 3 turns, which in turn means that the track will have 13 turns instead of 16 for the race. This has also reduced the total length of the track to 5.014 km from 5.14 km.

"In line with the FIM regulations, the track has been shortened for the WSBK race. As opposed to the 16 turns on the original F1 track, we'll have just 13 turns in the motorcycle race," said BIC spokesman.

Some of the kerbs will be modified for the race. Also, the barriers will be moved back for a greater run-off area. FIM officials will be visiting later this month to inspect the updated track. The FIM organised WSBK event will be held on March 9th and 10^th at the same venue that also hosts the Indian Grand Prix.  We expect the prices of the tickets to be revealed in next few days.
