The upcoming TVS Scooty was recently sighted in South India. The scooter, fully-camouflaged, was spotted at Hosur, Tamil Nadu is speculated to be production ready.
The spy photograph of the test mule, which the photographers at Autocar India managed to click, hides most of the details of the new scooter. However, this scooty is expected to boast of a new design completely differentiating it from the outgoing model. The mirrors on this model come sans the covers on the rods as seen on the current Scooty. The revamped scooter borrows traits from the existing scooter. The front and the rear indicators have been carried over directly from the present scooty.
The front foot rest is comparatively at a different angle from the one seen on the current TVS Scooty. The pillion foot rests are placed at a higher level on the new model. The rear body panels seem to have accents on them. The shape of the seat has been changed with the grab rail, smaller in size, aligned to the seat height.
The engine is expected to be borrowed from the TVS Scooty which is powered by the single cylinder 88cc mill delivering a power output of five bhp and six Nm of torque which might be further refined. The new variant will be available in electric-start and kick-start options.
TVS Scooty is one of most popular scooters offered in the country with demand mostly from female buyers. Currently the TVS Scooty Pep Plus and the TVS Scooty Streak are available. This new variant of the Scooty will expand the manufacturer’s line-up in India.
