CFMoto has revealed their first large capacity motorcycle in the form of the V.02-NK Concept.
Given that the V.02-NK has been designed by the same design house responsible for the styling of all recent KTM motorcycles, it looks radical. The design language that is slightly in tune with the KTM 390 Duke and 790 Duke. It gets an edgy tank, supermoto-like riding position and KTM 1290 SuperDuke-like headlamp unit. The bike uses a single-sided swingarm and channel air to the under-seat radiator via carbon fibre ducts on each side of the engine.
The CFMoto V.02-NK is expected to be powered by a 1301cc twin-cylinder engine that produces 177bhp and 141Nm of torque, similar to the one in the 1290 SuperDuke R. The bike also boasts of an Ohlins suspension setup and braking duties handled by Brembo on both ends.
Earlier this year, CFMoto had joined hands with KTM to setup a joint venture in China with the latter holding a 49 per cent stake. The manufacturer had stated that the joint venture won’t only be limited to sales and distribution of KTM bikes but will also be extended to develop products for the global markets.
While the bike is still a concept, CFMoto is hinting that the V.02-Nk will soon go into production. However, we Indians are unlikely to get our hands on this piece of machinery anytime soon.
