Indian Motorcycle will unveil a new model internationally on May 11, 2016, and there are rumours buzzing everywhere that it will be a blacked-out Dark Horse version of the Chieftain. Indian does offer a Dark Horse version which is the blacked-out version of the Chief as seen in the picture.
The Dark Horse Chief will combine modern technology and blacked-out styling. The tank-mounted console will have the same large, easy-to-read analogue speedometer as well as a digital display screen that provides a wealth of valuable ride and fuel data. The fairing will also house an audio system that delivers quality sound from dual high-output speakers along with a Bluetooth audio system.
The Indian Chieftain Dark Horse will be powered by the same new Thunder Stroke 111 engine that powers the Classic and the Chief Vintage. This engine churns out 161Nm of peak torque. The bike will have six-speed transmissions fed by electronic fuel injection and has ABS and hidden rear suspension.
The Indian Chief Dark Horse is priced almost Rs 4 lakh cheaper than the Classic variant. Which means the Chieftain Dark Horse will also be priced significantly cheaper than the standard variant.
