As part of its ongoing initiatives towards the COVID-19 relief measures, Hero MotoCorp will donate 60 first-responder mobile ambulances to authorities. The custom-built accessory is fitted on Hero MotoCorp motorcycles with an engine capacity of 150cc and above.
The specially modified motorcycles will be useful for reaching out to patients in rural and remote areas. The side cart that’s attached to the motorcycle features sufficient space for a patient to sleep while he/she is moved to the nearest medical facility. The modified motorcycles are equipped with essential medical equipment such as a first-aid kit, oxygen cylinder, fire extinguisher and siren.
Hero Motorcorp will handover these mobile ambulances to authorities in multiple regions across India.
Apart from the motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp will distribute masks, sanitizers, gloves and 100 ventilators to hospitals and health departments. Hero MotoCorp is also distributing more than 15,000 meals to stranded labourers, daily wage-workers and homeless families in several areas. Hero Group has pledged Rs 100 crore as an aid for the ongoing COVID-19 relief-efforts in India.
