- Honda reports zero sales in India for April
- Exports 2,630 units
- Extended warranty by two months
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has reported zero domestic sales in April due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The nation-wide lockdown, which began on 22 March to contain the virus resulted in the temporary shut down of production facilities and dealerships.
Nevertheless, Honda managed to export 2,630 units of motorcycles and scooters from its March 2020 stock to international markets in April. While this is the lowest period for Honda, the pandemic has also crippled sales for other manufacturers like TVS which also reported zero sales for last month.
However, Honda is gearing up to resume operations after receiving approvals from the Government while keeping in mind the safety of its employees and staff.
