Electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Okinawa has temporarily stopped its operations as a precautionary measure against Coronavirus pandemic situation. The company has put all its manufacturing operations on hold until further notice.
The company has not announced any timeline for this halt in operations although it did confirm that the shutdown will depend upon the government policy. Okinawa has initiated work-from-home for its office-based workforce. All workers in the manufacturing unit, on the other hand, will be on paid leave.
The company headquarter is located in JMD Megapolis, Gurugram, while the manufacturing plant is placed in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. The company only manufactures electric scooters, and its product range comprises of eight products – Lite, Praise Pro, I-Praise+, Ridge+, Ridge, Praise, Raise and Ridge 30. The two-wheeler manufacturer had showcased its upcoming product, an electric maxi-scooter at the 2020 Auto Expo. The company is also working on an electric motorcycle.
