Thanks to a remarkable performance in the 11th stage, CS Santosh has moved up to the 36th position in the overall rankings of the 2015 Dakar Rally. The Bengaluru based racer equalled his personal best by coming 32nd in the third last stage of the Dakar Rally, helping him advance from 38th to 36th position overall.
The 11th stage of the Dakar Rally took the riders from Salta to Termas Rio Hondo in Argentina, and was timed for over 349 kilometres. Like the 10th stage, this was also a marathon stage which meant that the riders had to perform all the maintenance on their own, without the help of the support crews. Santosh is currently riding with a fractured toe in his left foot, which is a result of a crash in the sixth stage, last week.
The penultimate stage of the 2015 Dakar Rally will see the riders from Termas Rio Hondo to Rosario, a distance of over 1,025 kilometres, of which 298 kilometres will be timed. Stay tuned to BikeWale for all the updates.
