CS Santosh will be representing the Team Suzuki at the 2015 edition of the Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm. The defending champion will ride a Suzuki RMX 450 in the gruelling endurance rally, which will see participation of over 130 riders and drivers from across the globe.
The Desert Storm is conducted over a distance of 2,300 kilometres; making it India’s longest cross country rally. The terrain includes dried river beds, sand dunes and other types of large obstacles chalked out to test the endurance, physical and mental toughness as well as the ingenuity of the driver. The Desert Storm started in New Delhi today afternoon and will take the participants to Jaipur through Sardarshahar, Bikaner and Jaisalmer.
CS Santosh created history earlier this year by becoming the first Indian to participate and successfully complete the notoriously arduous Dakar Rally. He finished the race in 36th position overall.
