CS Santosh has added another feather to his cap, by winning the Desert Storm 2015 rally. Riding for Team Suzuki on a Suzuki RMX450z, CS Santosh racked up a two-hour lead over the first runner-up, winning the title for the second consecutive year.
Conducted over a distance of 2,300 kilometres, the Desert Storm is one of India’s longest and toughest cross country rallies. The race tests out the endurance, physical and mental toughness as well as the ingenuity of the driver and takes place over different terrains including dried river beds, sand dunes and other types of large obstacles. The Desert Storm 2015 was flagged off in New Delhi on 24th of the last month and took the participants through different stages in Sardarshahar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jaipur.
A statement on CS Santosh’s official Facebook page said, “Great to start the year off by winning the ?Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm here in India. I felt great on the bike and I attacked all the stages with the intent of improving my speed this year.” ?
