- Build by Dehradun-based Motoexotica
- Gets full carbon-fibre bodywork
- Front suspension is WP-sourced USD forks
Royal Enfield’s global custom build program never fails to wow us with some mesmerizing creations portraying the vision and craft of different custom houses. One such example which caught our attention recently is the modified Himalayan built by Motoexotica, a custom house based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Christened the ‘Ultimate Himalayan,’ this motorcycle justifies the company’s name with some ‘exotic’ components. The most noteworthy of them is the extensive use of carbon fibre for the entire bodywork of the motorcycle. Even the fuel tank is a custom aluminium unit all of which come together to make for a butch and imposing-looking adventure bike.
Motoexotica has also given the entire hardware a comprehensive makeover. The engine, for instance, is a bored-out version with a displacement of 500cc accompanied by a high-lift camshaft, a programmable ECU, and a beefier exhaust. While the wheels continue to be a 21-18-inch combination, they are shod with rally spec tyres and suspended by long-travel USD forks sourced from WP. Now, since all of that souped-up performance also needs better braking hardware, a 320mm floating rotor with a four-pot calliper is thrown into the mix.
While the Ultimate Himalayan is an enticing package, it’s still a one-off custom job from Motoexotica, so you’ll probably never be able to buy one. However, adventure riding enthusiasts who find the stock Himalayan 411 too vanilla should wait for the upcoming Himalayan 450.
