From the four modified TVS Ronins presented at the MotoSoul 2023 stage, the one built by Smoked Garage completely stands out. It’s dubbed Musashi and features a unique design when compared to the rest. Here’s a close look at the bike.
The Indonesia-based workshop has completely transformed the stock bike. The rear frame has been deleted and Musashi features a single, floating seat. It’s retained the stock LED headlight but gets a grill for added protection.
Even the fuel tank cover on this bike is aftermarket and much sharper than the stock unit. It looks slimmer and a tad longer as well.
Further, Smoked Garage has added a comparatively larger bash plate which also helps keep the muck away from the engine. The handlebar seems slightly wider than the stock unit and Musashi also gets adjustable levers. The latter offers a little more tactile feel since you can tweak the reach.
We expect minor changes to the 225cc single-cylinder motor. The Ronin makes 20.1 bhp and 19.93 Nm in its stock form and its engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Considering the mechanical changes, added weight, and dimension altered, Smoked Garage could have also tweaked the gear ratios.
It gets the same round LCD but the setup has been mounted left side, below the tank.
The custom bike features golden-coloured USD front forks and a linked rear shock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware seems the same as the factory unit but with different calipers.
One of the highlights of Musashi is its proportions since Smoked Garage has added massive block pattern tyres with spoked wheels. The latter even gets carbon fibre covers and a small opening for the air-filler plug.
Overall, the addition of aftermarket parts enhances the visual appeal of the bike. But it also alters the usability when compared to the package offered from the factory.
