- Custom Yamaha XSR 155 unveiled at Thailand Motor Expo
- Built by Zeus Customs with Yamaha Thailand
- Limited to just 100 units
The recently held Thailand Motor Expo witnessed the unveiling of the custom Yamaha XSR 155 that caught a lot of eyes. The motorcycle has been built by Zeus Customs in association with Yamaha Thailand. The motorcycle is limited to just 100 units and, guess what, all of them were sold out within hours of going on sale!
The custom kit developed by Zeus Customs transforms the XSR 155 into a cool café racer you can’t take your eyes off from. To mention the changes, there’s obviously a clip-on handlebar that’s typical of a café racer. Other after-market elements include chopped front and rear fender, a different headlamp section, a dual-tone seat with a ribbed pattern, and tank grips. Completing the changes is the matte grey paint job with blacked-out cycle parts.
The engine and other hardware of this Yamaha XSR 155 remain the same as the stock bike. It is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 19bhp of power and 14.7Nm of peak torque. The transmission setup comprises a six-speed gearbox with an assist and a slipper clutch. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends that are suspended by inverted forks and a monoshock while stopping power comes from a disc at both ends.
Regardless of the popularity of the XSR 155 in India, it won’t come to our shores. Instead, Yamaha has given us the neo-retro FZ-X that has been witnessing a lot of demand, say our sources.
