With around 50 per cent customers opting to go for it, the customisation kit available for the Honda Navi has turned out to be quite popular among the scooter’s buyers. Buoyed by this demand, Honda has decided to launch one more such customisation kit for the Navi before the festive season.
Currently, the customisation kit for the Honda Navi comprises of a headlight protector and visor, side covers, dual-tone seat cover, engine guard and a passenger grab rail. A customer can get all of this fitted from a Honda dealership at Rs 5,000. The plan to launch a new customisation kit is in the pipeline, and is expected to be ready in time to capitalise the surge in demand during festive season.
Speaking to BikeWale, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Sr VP, sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd said that they have been pleasantly surprised by the demand for both the Navi and the customisation kit. With the production capacity being doubled from 50,000 units per annum to one lakh, Honda is now planning to extend the availability of the Navi across the country. As of now, the Navi is only available in select cities and we can expect the number to go up significantly over the next few months.
The Auto Expo 2016 witnessed three iterations of the scooter - Navi Street, Navi Adventure and Navi Off-road. And while Mr Guleria refused to comment on which genre the new customisation kit will incline towards, we expect the Navi Adventure to be the next in line. For now, all we can do is wait and watch.
