The Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare Rally event was kicked off yesterday from the Orion Mall in Bangalore. This year it will be the seventh edition of the southern motorsports event.
Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare 2015 will go on for a week finally concluding in Hyderabad, on August 8. This year more than 40 per cent of new motoring enthusiasts across India are expected to witness this southern motorsports event. There are 105 teams comprising 170 participants. The participants will travel almost 2,000 kms through South India covering regions like Davangere, Shimoga, Hampi, Gulbarga, Chitradurga and Bellary. The event is open for both men and women who have a keen interest in motorsports.

All the participants will be tested for endurance in multiple terrains. The selected participants will compete against each other in three categories - Ultimate Car category, Ultimate Bike Category and Endure Category. With this yearly event Maruti Suzuki aims at bringing out the ultimate rallying experience for motoring enthusiasts in India.
With such initiatives, the carmaker wants to increase participation of motorsports enthusiasts in our country, eventually helping them hone their skills, while enjoying the unadulterated thrills of riding on the various terrains in our country.
