DAO EV tech has launched four new electric scooters in the Indian market – 703, ZOR 405, Vidhyut 106 and 108. The vehicles will be launched across the country, starting from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The company brings in solution and service expertise from the USA and manufacturing and R&D excellence from China. Moreover, the company claims to be a 100 per cent make in India project with products manufactured at Hyderabad.
Each electric vehicle is targeted towards different group of consumers with the 703 being their flagship product. These electric scooters are equipped with LFP batteries which are said to be more technologically advanced than the conventional lithium-ion batteries. They also get an intelligent release system which prevents accidental acceleration.
DAO 703 is a stylish yet unconventional looking scooter, which comes with all LED lights, cruise mode, keyless entry, anti-theft alarm, find my scooter function, digital instrument cluster and a reverse switch. The scooter is powered by a 30Ah LFP Li-ion battery having five-year life and uses an IP 57 motor, which delivers peak power of 3500W and has a climbing capability of up to 11-degree slopes.
ZOR 405 is more focused towards commercial use as it has a payload capacity of up to 200kg and a front basket which can carry loads up to 25kg. It also gets features like LCD dash, remote lock, hazard switch, one-click repair button, three-speed modes, reverse button and automatic delayed headlamps. It is powered by a 23Ah LFP Li-ion battery and the motor employed is an IP 57 with peak power of 250W.
Vidhyut 106 and 108 are quite similar in terms of specifications but different when it comes to design. The Vidhyut 106 looks sporty and attractive. Whereas, the 108 might remind you of the BGauss A2 model. Both scooters are equipped with features like full LED lights, digital dash, reverse switch, keyless entry and anti-theft alarm. They are powered by a 15Ah / 23Ah LFP Li-ion battery and propelled via a BLDC motor with peak power of 250W.
The prices of the scooters have not been revealed yet. The top speed of these scooters is restricted at 25kmph except the 703 model which has a top speed of 70kmph. Vidhyut has a range of 80kms on a full charge while the ZOR 405 has a range of 70kms. Meanwhile, the DAO 703 comes with a range of 100kms. DAO electric scooters will compete against the likes of BGauss, Ampere, Hero Electric and Okinawa in the Indian market.
