After commencing the dispatches from the factory, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has begun the deliveries of the newly launched Shine 100 in our market. The company recently announced the launch of the Hero Splendor-rivalling commuter motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh, where the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer delivered 500 units of this product on the first day.
This commuter segment motorcycle is currently available in a single variant and five colours. It is priced at Rs. 64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it nearly Rs. 8,000 more affordable than its direct rival, the Hero Splendor. The new Honda Shine 100 draws styling cues from the company’s highest-selling commuter motorcycle, the Shine 125. Meanwhile, the mechanical specifications include a 98.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that delivers 7.61bhp and 8.05Nm.
With an aim to attract more buyers, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is offering a ten-year warranty option with this product. Buyers can purchase the optional seven-year extended warranty over the standard three-year period. Further, the company has announced the ‘100 PE 100’ special introductory finance scheme for the Shine 100 under which customers can avail financing options from multiple institutions. Notably, Hero MotoCorp offers a five-year warranty as standard with the option of extending it by additional two years for an extra cost.
