Reading the Drudi performance branding is a common sight on any modern helmet, these helmets are designed by Drudi and his team. Valentino Rossi’s custom helmets are also a part of Drudi range. Now, Drudi has unveiled his first custom designed motorcycle – the Burasca 1200.
The motorcycle is based on Honda’s VFR1200F, but it’s a long way from standard. Created in the team's 'Air Garage', it’s Drudi’s modern interpretation of a sports-tourer. The engine is the same 1237cc V4 engine from the Honda. The name Burasca means ‘storm’, and it’s taken the new Drudi team only 15 months to this fully complete this concept bike.
The motorcycle includes a number of high-quality parts like the Öhlins NIX30 fork and TTX36GP shock, a custom Akrapovic exhaust made exclusively for this concept, and bespoke lighting. The original frame, engine and cardan drive have been maintained, but everything else has been completely redesigned. However, the Drudi team has not included the ABS unit from Honda.
The Burasca weighs a convenient 30kg less than original VFR. The aluminium wheels are made by Fast Mec and are lighter than the VFR’s, improving agility and performance under acceleration and braking. Another major weight saving component is the carbon fibre fairing.
