DSK Benelli sells 711 units in Oct-Dec 2016

DSK Benelli - the fastest growing premium bike manufacturer in India has sold 711 units in the October to December period in 2016.

The highest number of bikes were sold in October at 337 units. This can be attributed to the festive season where the sales of automobiles are relatively higher. However, the sales for the November and December fell drastically with the announcement of demonetisation. The sales for November and December stood at 193 units and 181 units respectively. 

While the company doesn't give model-wise break up, we believe the maximum sales comes from the TNT25 and the TNT600i. The former is the most affordable Benelli one can buy in India whereas the latter is the most afford in line-four motorcycle. The USP for the 600i is its exhaust note which is one of the best in the segment. 

DSK Benelli has been very aggressive with its India expansion plans and has the highest number of dealerships as compared to its competitors. The company has planned a few launches for 2017 like the Tornado 302R and the TRK 502. These two bikes are bound to get interest due to their fully faired and adventure nature, but if the pricing isn't right, the Indian buyers might look at alternatives.
