DSK Benelli is going aggressive with its India plans. After opening up many showrooms in the last couple of months, the company is gearing up to launch the TNT 600i LE (limited edition) on September 24.
The TNT 600i has been the highest selling motorcycle for the company. While the company wasn’t ready to reveal the exact sales figures, the TNT 600i is a tempting proposition because of its Rs 5.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) price tag. We are expecting the limited edition TNT 600i to come with only cosmetic changes.
The TNT 600i is powered by the 600cc inline-four engine with electronic fuel injection. This same engine powers the touring version– the TNT 600GT. This liquid-cooled engine churns out 82bhp at 11,500rpm and maximum torque of 55Nm at 10,500rpm, which is transmitted to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission. The bike sports upside down Marzocchi front forks and an adjustable Sachs offset monoshock in the rear. Braking is taken care by twin 320mm floating discs at the front and a single 240mm disc in the rear.
The TNT 600i LE is being launched to push the sales for the upcoming festive season. We are expecting this version to be priced Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 over the current model.
