DSK Benelli is gearing up to launch their most awaited motorcycle – the TNT 25 on December 18. With the launch of this new bike, the company will have six motorcycles under its portfolio.
The company is expecting the TNT 25 to bring in volumes as it will be priced very competitively. The main reason for this bike to make its way to the Indian market is because of the growth in this segment. Currently, the KTM Duke 200 takes care of the majority of the sales. However, with the launch of the Benelli TNT 25, there is a high chance of few consumers moving away from KTM to this Italian brand.
DSK Benelli did a lot of research for this bike. Its research found that most of the premium motorcycle groups in the country have a minimum requirement of 250cc motorcycle and above. The company wants to target these buyers, who are into group riding and also love performance.
The Benelli TNT 25 is powered by a single-cylinder 250cc engine that churns out 25bhp and 22Nm of peak torque. The suspension setup is taken care of by a 41mm USD at the front and a single swingarm mounted shock absorber at the rear. The bike sports a 280mm disc at the front with a four piston caliper and a 240mm single disc with a double piston caliper at the rear.
The Benelli TNT 25 will be sold in India as a completely-knocked-down (CKD) unit. Once launched, it will be the most affordable Benelli in India and that’s why the Italian company has high hopes from this motorcycle.
