DSK Benelli is on a roll! After tasting success with its range of bikes in the last calendar year, the company is gearing up for its next story.
The company has just unveiled four new motorcycles that will make their way to the Indian market in the current calendar year. The bikes in question are the TNT T-135, BX 250, Tornado 300 (also called Tornado 302) and the TRK 502.
While the TNT T-135 is more focused towards college kids, who wants a fun looking motorcycle, the BX 250 takes care of motorcycle enthusiasts who love dirt riding. And things doesn’t stop there. The Benelli BN300 is a fully-faired version of the TNT 300 which is already sold in India. This motorcycle is powered by an in-line twin cylinder engine. This 4-valve DOHC unit produces 36bhp at 12,000rpm and 27Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The last bike in question is the TRK 502 – Benelli’s new proper adventure bike that is surely going to excite the Indian market. Over the last couple of years, there’ve been a steady increase of adventure tourers in the country, but unfortunately, there are hardly any affordable motorcycle that’ll take care of that need. But with the TRK 502, the Indian consumers have a good choice now. All the four motorcycles will be launched as a completely-knocked-down (CKD) units and will come with an aggressive price tag. However, the exact launch dates of these bikes are not known.
