- 959 Panigale Corse introduced at Rs 15.20 lakhs
- Gets MotoGP inspired livery
- Doesn’t get Ohlins suspension, Akrapovic exhaust, steering damper
Ducati India has launched the 959 Panigale Corse edition in India. Priced at Rs 15.20 lakhs, this special edition is Rs 67,000 more expensive than the standard 959 Panigale.
The 959 Panigale Corse edition is inspired by the Ducati Corse MotoGP colours. Unfortunately, the Italian maker hasn’t launched the top-spec Corse edition which gets Ohlins suspension, lithium battery, steering damper and Akrapovic. These equipment are bound to increase the price tag of the motorcycle and maybe Ducati wanted to avoid that.
This Italian bike gets its power from a 959cc L-Twin engine that churns out 150bhp at 10,500rpm and peak torque of 102Nm at 9000rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with Ducati Quick Shfit (DQS). Just like the rest of the Ducatis, the 959 Panigale Corse is also equipped with latest gadgets. So things like Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Ducati Safety Pack (DSP) are part of this motorcycle.
In terms of competition, the 959 Panigale Corse has the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. But the latter is more powerful and is priced less than the Ducati.
