Ducati has announced a special edition version of the 959 Panigale for the UK market. The company is producing only 25 units.
The company has selected a couple of components from the Ducati Performance catalogue for the motorcycle. The special edition is equipped with articulated racing levers and brake lever protectors. It gets the Akrapovic under engine exhaust system instead of the shotgun one. There’s an inclusion of lower fairings too to finish the aerodynamic look. Each of the 25 bikes will get a unique number that will be seen on the steering head. Ducati has priced this special edition at £15,995 (Rs 13.49 lakh).
There’s also an option of going for a carbon pack which is being sold at £16,995 (Rs 14.33 lakh). This pack includes a carbon ignition switch cover, carbon shock cover, carbon heel guards, tail tidy. There's also front sprocket cover, tank protector, chain guard, carbon rear mudguard and billet bar end weights part of this package. Both the versions get plastic seat cowl and race screen as well. Ducati hasn’t played with the engine of the bike. The 959cc L-Twin generates 157bhp and 107Nm of peak torque.
Unfortunately, the Indian market will take some more time to get such special editions. Ducati India is currently focussing on expanding their dealership and sales network.
