Ducati and Diesel have teamed-up to create a special edition Diavel. Christened Ducati Diavel Diesel (no, it’s not an oil-burner), this motorcycle will be produced in a limited run of 666 units.
The Diavel Diesel features hand-brushed stainless-steel panels which have been welded and riveted together to give the bike a raw look. Even the exhaust and the seat get a unique finish. The brake callipers have been painted in red, while the instrumentation gets red backlight. The air intake covers have been finished in red and feature the Diesel logo. It even gets a plaque with the unique serial number of the motorcycle. Under the skin is the same 1198cc Testastretta L-twin engine which delivers 160bhp and 130Nm of torque.
The Diavel Diesel is priced at USD 34,490 (Rs 23.49 lakh), Rs 6.8 lakh more than a standard Diavel. For those who think that the motorcycle is worth the extra cash, the Diavel Diesel will reach showrooms by April. Considering that the Indian market responds well to limited edition bikes, we can expect a few units to be launched here in the second half of the year.
